SAFE Lab at UM-D's CIS department conducts research in the areas of computer and network security, digital forensics, and applied cryptography. It aims at tackling real world security challenges and at the same time provides security education for the society.

  • RA positions are available for highly motivated motivated PhD students who are interested in conducting research in the following two areas. (1) Wireless and mobile computing security; (2) Cloud computing security and privacy. An ideal candidate is expected to:

    1. Have completed his/her Master degree in CS, EE, or a relevant area;
    2. Have strong analytical and communication skills;
    3. Have previous research experience in one or several of the following areas: security, cryptography, networking, wireless communication, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence ...
