  • The SARTRE Project --The SARTRE Project (or Safe Road Trains for the Environment) is funded by the European Commision and aims to develip both statergies and technologies thal enable to use of vehicle platoons on normal public highways

  • Cooperative control of SARTRE automated platoon vehicles -- For additional information regarding the SARTRE project 

  • Companion project--The Companion Project is a European based project including companies from the Netherlands, Spain  and Germany. This project aims to identify how to apply the platooning concept into daily life and transportation operations. Companion works primarily with trucks



  • PATH-- Path or Partners for Advanced Transportation Technology is a research and development program of the University of California, Berkeley in collaboration with the California Department of Transportation. Their mission is to develop solutions that address the challenges of California's surface transportation systems one of which includes vehicle platoons. 
  • Enery ITS- The Energy ITS project (short for "Development of Energy-saving ITS Technology" project) has been established by NEDO (New Energy and technology Development Organization) in Japan in 2008 to establish an international standardised assessment methodology for measuring the effects of ITS.
